In this blog post, I am sharing with you an application we recently solved for a leading Automation provider. The application was Inspection of Textile Bobbins for Checking the Shape and hence the Volume. Uniformity in Volume underscores the uniformity in bobbin color post-dyeing due to the variation in density of packing. The challenge in solving this application lay in non uniformity in bobbin shapes and multiple size variants.
Using a 0.8 MP camera with a fixed focal lens and suitable lights, we could achieve the necessary accuracy and repeatability after software solution development. Alongside is a photograph of our setup on-line, performing the inspection.
