Qualitas has recently developed a solution to count the no of piston rings present in a batch using Machine Vision technology. Our customer a leading piston ring manufacturer required that various sizes and profiles were counted with 100% accuracy.
Using a smart camera system from Teledyne Dalsa a simple operator fed mechanical system was designed to perform to meet this requirement. It has a push trigger button, GUI, enclosure and monitor. Please take a look at the video below.
