To inspect various defects on paper. The process was being done manually which was a very time consuming process requiring a lot of labour and there was a significant scope of error as well.
Web Inspection
The technical setup is explained in the figure. The paper is rolled on a high-speed roller, the images are captured by using a high-resolution line scan camera and a specialized lens with the help of a backlight to inspect various defects on the paper. After which the images are transferred to a high-end vision system, which uses a robust Artificial Intelligence tool to analyze the images through deep learning techniques. Emergency-stop triggers are activated if defects are found.
