Many key tasks in the manufacture of products like inspection, orientation, identification, and assembly require the use of visual techniques. Human vision and response, however, can be slow and tend to be error-prone either due to boredom or fatigue. Replacing human inspection with machine vision can go far in automating factory operation, but implementers need to carefully match machine vision options with application requirements.
The idea of using computer vision technology to solve industrial automation tasks was the founding idea behind Qualitas Technologies. Machine Vision is a multidisciplinary field requiring expertise in Physics, Electronics, Software and Mechanical Engineering. That’s the expertise Qualitas has developed over the years. With specialized teams in each of these disciplines we’re able to bring together solutions that breaks into cutting edge technology. Our expertise lies in defining well thought out processes starting from requirement analysis all the way to installing the final solution that integrates with any existing automation sub-system:

Components Of Machine Vision System
This expertise has what has lead us to gain recognition in the international community. For instance take a look at one of our solutions published by the leading industry magazine (Vision Systems Design) Our processes are well defined to ensure the highest quality system designed at the lowest cost with indigenously developed technology. Wherever required we import the highest quality of components which are also available as individual Machine Vision Components. With partnerships with the leaders in Machine Vision we’re able to source technology and products.
Vision Inspection Systems
As a system integrator, we choose what’s best for the client and do not “push” any product from any brand thus making us one very competitive with our price: performance ratio. We specialize in complex high-speed vision inspection systems that demand a very high level of expertise. With an optimum level of vision hardware component inventory and highly equipped lab, our engineers develop a workable solution that reduces rework cost and machine downtime at the field after deployment.
Process Flow at Qualitas
We at Qualitas believe that it is crucial that our customers understand the process involved in providing the perfect solution. From the analysis to the installation stage, here is a step by step guide to the process flow:
The customer fills out a detailed requirement questionnaire in which every specification from object size to inspection rate is taken care of. Our dedicated team analyzes the requirement and we provide a techno-commercial proposal. This helps the customer get a basic idea of the solution we have in mind.
Once the sample arrives at our facility, the Application team performs a Proof of Concept based on good and faulty samples provided. Taking into account the software, hardware and vision solution; a techno-commercial estimate is provided. The customer at this point is welcome to observe a purely analytical trial at our facility.
The customer places the order based on which the Qualitas team procures the equipment. The solution is then designed in-house.
Installation & Commissioning
The solution is installed at customer site and undergoes trials to make sure the system is running perfectly. Validations are performed at every step to ensure that all requirements are met.
