Sticker Classification and Verification

Similar stickers can be confused when appearance changes with orientation, print batch or background.

Sticker Classification and Verification

Reference approach

Sticker Classification and Verification application illustration
Application illustration from existing Qualitas collateral; not evidence of a named customer deployment.

Align the sticker image and compare distinguishing shape, colour, artwork or text features with approved classes. Send uncertain cases for controlled review.

What a pilot should establish

  • Test near-identical classes, wrinkles, rotation and revised artwork versions.
  • Agree the pass, fail and uncertain outcomes before testing. Record incorrect accepts and incorrect rejects separately using an independent sample set.

A classifier should allow an unknown result; forcing every item into a known class can hide a new or incorrect sticker.

Outputs and line integration

Define the result required by the next process step, the time available to return it and the action for an uncertain result. Where records are needed, keep the image and decision tied to the inspected item or handling event.

Technical reference

Share sticker classes, artwork revisions and handling method. We can define the imaging approach, integration points and a sample-based validation plan.
