Protein Filter Surface Inspection

Fine filter surfaces can show holes, scratches or local appearance changes that are difficult to distinguish from normal material variation.

Protein Filter Surface Inspection

Reference approach

Protein Filter Surface Inspection application illustration
Application illustration from existing Qualitas collateral; not evidence of a named customer deployment.

Define the visible defect standard, then image accessible faces under controlled lighting. Compare regions with approved samples and flag uncertain differences for review.

What a pilot should establish

  • Test both faces where required, normal texture, contamination and borderline appearance changes.
  • Agree the pass, fail and uncertain outcomes before testing. Record incorrect accepts and incorrect rejects separately using an independent sample set.

Surface images do not prove filtration performance, sterility or internal integrity.

Outputs and line integration

Define the result required by the next process step, the time available to return it and the action for an uncertain result. Where records are needed, keep the image and decision tied to the inspected item or handling event.

Technical reference

Share filter variants, visible defect criteria and face-access requirements. We can define the imaging approach, integration points and a sample-based validation plan.
