Pallet SKU Counting and Verification

A visible pallet face does not necessarily reveal every carton or SKU. Counting needs an explicit boundary between visible evidence and hidden contents.

Pallet SKU Counting and Verification

Reference approach

Pallet SKU Counting and Verification application illustration
Application illustration from existing Qualitas collateral; not evidence of a named customer deployment.

Use suitable views to detect visible units and identify variants where distinguishing features are exposed. Compare the result with the expected pallet or layer plan.

What a pilot should establish

  • Test mixed SKUs, partial layers, damaged cartons and visible faces at different pallet positions.
  • Agree the pass, fail and uncertain outcomes before testing. Record incorrect accepts and incorrect rejects separately using an independent sample set.

Do not infer hidden quantities from one image unless the stacking pattern and validation support that inference.

Outputs and line integration

Define the result required by the next process step, the time available to return it and the action for an uncertain result. Where records are needed, keep the image and decision tied to the inspected item or handling event.

Technical reference

Share pallet patterns, SKU examples and verification point. We can define the imaging approach, integration points and a sample-based validation plan.
