Machine Vision

Many key tasks in the manufacture of products like inspection, orientation, identification, and assembly require the use of visual techniques. Human vision and response, however, can be slow and tend to be error-prone either due to boredom or fatigue. Replacing human inspection with machine vision can go far in automating factory operation, but implementers need to carefully match machine vision options with application requirements.

The idea of using computer vision technology to solve industrial automation tasks was the founding idea behind Qualitas TechnologiesMachine Vision is a multidisciplinary field requiring expertise in Physics, Electronics, Software and Mechanical Engineering. That’s the expertise Qualitas has developed over the years. With specialized teams in each of these disciplines, we’re able to bring together solutions that break into cutting-edge technology. Our expertise lies in defining well thought out processes starting from requirement analysis all the way to installing the final solution that integrates with any existing automation sub-system:

This expertise has led us to gain recognition in the international community. For instance, take a look at one of our solutions published by the leading industry magazine (Vision Systems Design) Our processes are well defined to ensure the highest quality system designed at the lowest cost with indigenously developed technology. Wherever required we import the highest quality of components which are also available as individual Machine Vision Components. With partnerships with the leaders in Machine Vision, we’re able to source technology and products.

Process Flow At Qualitas

We at Qualitas believe that it is crucial that our customers understand the process involved in providing the perfect solution. From the analysis to the installation stage, here is a step by step guide to the process flow:

Requirement Analysis

The customer fills out a detailed requirement questionnaire in which every specification from object size to inspection rate is taken care of. Our dedicated team analyzes the requirement and we provide a techno-commercial proposal. This helps the customer get a basic idea of the solution we have in mind.

Sample Analysis

Once the sample arrives at our facility, the Application team performs a Proof of Concept based on good and faulty samples provided. Taking into account the software, hardware and vision solution; a techno-commercial estimate is provided. The customer at this point is welcome to observe a purely analytical trial at our facility.

Solution Design

The customer places the order based on which the Qualitas team procures the equipment. The solution is then designed in-house.

Installation & Commissioning

The solution is installed at the customer site and undergoes trials to make sure the system is running perfectly.  Validations are performed at every step to ensure that all requirements are met
